The privately owned company Viscal Development Corporation VISCALfirst opened the doors of their first department store and supermarket at Cebu in 1982, ever since then they have grown to 17 retail outlets: 11 in Cebu Province, two in Metro Manila (Bonifacio 
Global City, Taguig and Binondo), Legazpi, Lucena, Angeles City in Pampanga, Maasin in Leyte. And now with their latest addition almost 29* years later, in Ayala Alabang is METRO Ayala Alabang that brings the count to 18 retail outlets. But their not stopping there, they plan on opening three more stores by the end of the year 2012 bringing the total to 21 stores. Next year, Metro plants to increase its presences in key citiyes of Luzon and Visayas.
The entire lot that it sits on is a whopping 44,000 square meter (m2) it also sits in the middle of Alabang Town Center (ATC) which gives it an advantage. And it also has around 200 parking spaces!
