This new movies is definitively a continuation of the 2009 reboot film, but this time it’s oozing with action packed sequences that make it breathtakingly amazing to watch in IMAX 3D, and the fact that the director ( J. J. Abrams ) did his research about the whole Star Trek franchise is a very good move.

This new film has a lot of jokes, puns, references, and Easter eggs from the older Star Trek films, but what i consider memorable is from the movie Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan is just simply unforgettable! For one someone died in somewhat the same way, and the Enterprise again ALMOST crashing just brings back a lot of good memories. I might have even shed a tear while watching the movies. (Just might… probably not at all)

I could consider this movie to an alternate story to the movie Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, since it focuses on Khan, but this time it also focuses on Admiral Marcus wanting to turn Starfleet offensive instead of defensive and exploration which they have always been doing since the start of it.

Star Trek logoBut to be completely honest, you would enjoy this film much, much, MUCH! more if you watched the Original reboot from 2009, and better if  you get a copy of the complete Star Trek movies! I am in no way shape or form promoting pirating so you better buy a legit copy of the film.

The post production for this film is spectacular, as to be expected from  J.J. Abrams but i did noticed that some scenes just didn’t flow as smoothly as i expected it to be! I’m not sure whether it’s the equipment in the cinema i watched it at, intentional, or problem with post. When i said “didn’t flow as smoothly” that meant the moves was jittery. But I’m sure it’s just the cinema projector needing some WD-40 at the bearings.

Unlike the other reviews and comments that i see on the vast network of computers called the “internet” this movie is not flawed to my eyes. But tell me what you think in the comments and i might give away something special if  i get enough responses.

Conclusion?:

391px-Emblem.svgI’d give this movie an eight, and not a ten because they used the Khan thing again, and yes i did say i loved how he used the somewhat same story line but something new would have been better IMO.

Catch the movie at practically at all Theaters by now for the next one to two weeks. Now if you would excuse me… i have a ship waiting to engage, and a space station in a low Kerbin orbit that i need to de-orbit.
